3-D Service Appoints Wind Power Division Manager

Massillon, Ohio 3-D Service, a leader in the repair and maintenance of commercial and industrial electro-mechanical equipment, today announced the appointment of John Jaunich as Manager of the Wind Power Division. The Wind Power Division provides up-tower and in-shop wind power service including comprehensive inspections; filter and lubricant replacement; bearing and slip ring replacement; coupling and gearbox service; balancing and alignment; predictive maintenance, and equipment repair and remanufacturing. The company provides service for all brands of wind turbine equipment and is an ABB authorized service provider.

Trained as a software application engineer, John has more than 30 years experience in information systems development, project management, finance, operations and most recently in wind energy development with Northern Alternative Energy. As president and CEO of Northern Alternative Energy for the past five years, John planned and directed all aspects of the organization’s operational policies, objectives, and initiatives related to wind development, including site selection, land leases, royalty terms with land owners, interconnection to transmission, project management and community acceptance. Mr. Jaunich also served as Director of Business Development for Navitas Energy, a sister company for Northern, which was purchased in 2002 by Gamesa Eolica of Spain. Mr. Jaunich also led the operations and maintenance commissioning team for the first commercial wind farm in Illinois, Gamesa Mendota Hills.
