3-D Service Operations Upgraded, Certified to ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Standard

MASSILLON, Ohio (September 22, 2003) – 3-D Service, Ltd., a leader in the repair and maintenance of commercial and industrial equipment, today announced that its service center here has been upgraded to the ISO 9001: 2000 quality standard. The Massillon service center had previously been certified to ISO 9001:1994.

In addition, the company’s Farmington Hills, Mich., service center has also been certified to ISO 9001:2000. 3-D Service acquired the Michigan service center in the summer of 2002.

3-D Service’s certification is applicable to the design, repair, servicing and wholesale/retail sale of electrical apparatus. CRS Registrars Inc. of Maumee, Ohio, certified 3-D Service.

“The upgrade of our Massillon service center and the certification of our Michigan operation are excellent representations of our commitment to quality and service,” said Bernie DeWees, 3-D Service president. “We are proud to be certified to this world-class quality standard.”

ISO 9001, an international quality certification for manufacturing companies, was originally developed by the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) in 1994. The certification’s guidelines were then updated in 2000 with more of a focus on organizations’ customers.

ISO 9001 is primarily concerned with quality operating systems. The certification, one of the world’s most widely recognized standards, means an organization is continually seeking to improve its quality and operations. ISO was founded in 1947 to promote international manufacturing, trade and communications standards.
