3-D Service Acquires Cincinnati Service Center

MASSILLON, Ohio (May 5, 2003) – 3-D Service, a leader in the repair and maintenance of commercial and industrial equipment, today announced it has acquired the assets, employees and equipment of the Waukesha service center in Cincinnati.

3-D’s stronger presence in the Cincinnati area is part of the company’s aggressive growth strategy. Bernie DeWees, 3-D president, said this acquisition further enhances the company’s position as a leader in the marketplace.

“This acquisition is perfect for 3-D, not only from a geographic standpoint, but also from a capabilities standpoint,” he said. “The company now will be able to better serve some long-time customers in the Cincinnati area, as well as develop substantial new relationships. 3-D is better positioned to serve the power service market.”

Ed Weimer has been named operations manager of 3-D’s Cincinnati service center. Weimer, a graduate of Penn State University, has more than 30 years of expertise in the power and utilities industries.

Last summer, 3-D expanded its service offerings through the acquisition of a service center in Farmington Hills, Mich.
