3-D Service Receives Safety Awards
At the Stark County Safety Council’s 2007 Safety Awards Banquet held May 16 at the Kent State Stark Professional Education and Conference Center, 3-D Service received the Excellence in Safety Award. At a luncheon held May 24th at Armco Park Pavilion in Middletown, Ohio, 3-D Service also received their 5th consecutive award for injury-free work performance from AK Steel. The award recognized 3-D Service for injury free performance in 2006.
WindPower 2007
3-D Service participated again this year in the Windpower Conference & Exhibition sponsored by the American Wind Energy Association. Held June 3-6 in Los Angeles, this year’s conference theme was Growing the Wind Energy Business and focused on actions required to make wind energy a significant part of the U.S. electricity portfolio. With more than 400 companies demonstrating the latest advancements in wind energy technology, the event boasts over 6000 attendees, up from 5000 last year.
Billed as the largest wind energy conference and exhibition held annually in the world, the conference brings together industry and utility leaders, national and state policy-makers, and renewable energy advocates and includes educational sessions on a broad range of business, policy, scientific, technical, policy, and financial topics.
3-D Service displayed their complete service for electric power generating windmills, its up-tower preventive and predictive maintenance for generators, couplings, gearboxes and controls, as well as its in-plant equipment repair and remanufacturing services for wind turbine equipment.
Powering the Blues
Sponsored by the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Canton Blues Festival is a two-day New Orleans-style event featuring local and national Blues bands, food and fun. 3-D Service provided mobile generators to power the June 22 and 23 event featuring five time Grammy Award winner Robert Cray. Also performing were Patrick Sweeney, the Jeff Poulos Blues Revue, Inner City Blues and the Voices of Unity Choir.
International Vital Lives
3-D Service once again partnered with International Truck and Engine Corporation to sponsor their annual Vital Lives Open golf outing. Our sponsorship helped provide funding to lower cost to attendees, pay for the facility and buy prizes while promoting fitness and wellness to all involved in the event. |
