The consistent demand from customers for reliable, backup power sources lead 3-D Service to announce on March 13, 2006, the formation of its Generator Division, which is devoted to the sales, rental, parts, and service of Baldor standby generators as well as portable Ingersoll Rand units. Said Bernie Dewees, president of 3‑D Service, “Many of our customers needed generators, so we responded to expand the services we offer. By making the decision to add this division we can provide customers with more solutions through quality products and services.”

While 3-D Service has had a long standing affiliation with Baldor for the sales and service of Baldor motors, drives, starters and controls, the consistent increase in generator demand lead 3-D Service and Baldor to extend their relationship to include standby generators. In addition to this partnership, 3-D Service was added to Ingersoll Rand’s dealer network as a portable generator products dealer.

3-D Service offers the industry’s most powerful lineup of Baldor generators ranging from 1 kW to 2000 kW. This lineup is backed by several engine choices, including Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Mitsubishi, Ford, Isuzu, John Deere, Kubota, Honda, and GM. 3-D Service also recently announced their membership in the Electrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA). EGSA is a trade association including nearly 500 companies world-wide that design, manufacture, sell, distribute, rent, specify, service, and use on-site electrical power generation equipment. It is the world's largest organization that focuses on the entire on-site power generation industry. Members of EGSA agree to adhere to industry standards and in return benefit from EGSA’s expertise and knowledge in this emerging and critical industry and gain access to new developments and technology.
