Overview

Magnetech Industrial Service, Inc. (MIS), a wholly owned subsidiary of MISCOR Group, Ltd., was founded in 2000 by John Martell with the purchase of the operating assets of an electric motor and magnet shop in South Bend, Indiana. The goal was to become the national industrial services company of choice. In August 2001, Meade Industrial was purchased adding shops and capabilities in Hammond, Indiana and Boardman, Ohio. Locations were acquired in Huntington, West Virginia and Mobile, Alabama in February, 2002. A motor shop in Saraland, Alabama was purchased in 2006. Finally, in December, 2007, privately held 3-D Service was acquired adding locations in Massillon, Ohio and Cincinnati, Ohio. With this acquisition, Bernie DeWees, owner and president of 3-D Service, joined MISCOR as president of MIS and 3-D Service, a subsidiary of Magnetech Industrial Services. Corporate headquarters for both MIS and 3-D Service are located in Massillon, Ohio.
